Lionel Messi's Argentina face off against James Rodriguez and Colombia on Sunday night in the Copa America final in Miami, kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET. It's a poet America Final as Colombia will meet the last team that defeated for the chance at their first title since 2001 on Sunday in Miami. It would be only their second title ever and to do it, Los Cafeteros would need to get past the reigning champions in Lionel Messi and Argentina. Already setting one record in tournament play, James Rodriguez now has the most most assists in single Copa America with six but he'll be eying at least a seventh to run Colombia's unbeaten streak to 29 matches in all competitions.
Defending champions Argentina are going for history. One more win –'ve lost just just in their last 60 matches in all competitions – and la Albiceleste will be Copa America victors for the 16th time. Lionel Scaloni's side exist on moments as to the to gobly of the gob-flu football, but when you've got Messi and the flying Lautaro Martinez in your team, it's matters win that. Messi and Julian Alvaraz sealed Canada's fate in the semi-final, but Colombia final will be a tougher affair.
Argentina heads into the Final looking to break the Copa America record with a 16th title. The team is currently tied with Uruguay for the most Copa America wins, at 15 each. Uruguay's hopes for the Final wereshed during their semi-final match against Colombia earlier this week, which saw one-time Copa America champion Colombia pull off narrow a 1-0 win. Argentina is historically a strong team, bolstered by Lionel Messi, who has taken a break from his Inter obligations to help out his home team this year.
Los Cafeteros have been fun to watch all tournament. James Rodriguez has rediscovered his best form in years, while Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has shone. Jefferson Lerma bagged a first-half semi-final winner against Uruguay to set up Sunday's showdown against Argentina. Colombia boast a brilliant recent record and are unbeaten since February 2022, 28 games ago. Their opponent that day? Yep, Argentina.
The atmosphere is building in Miami for what will be a brilliant occasion. Vice City is well known for its Latin influences and fans from across the Americas have flocked to the home of the Miami Dolphins for this one. Messi is a guaranteed starter alongside Julian Alvarez up front, but watch out for Lautaro Martinez coming off the bench – the Inter forward is the tournament’s top scorer and is firing right now. James Rodriguez will captain his country again, with Luis Diaz a big attacking force, with Jhon Cordoba the center-forward.

Colombia: Rolling through every obstacle in their path, Nestor Lorenzo will have yet one more to if overcome Colombia are to win a Copa America title. Right back Daniel Munoz will be suspended for the final after picking up two yellow cards in the first half against Uruguay. After Rodriguez, Munoz has been certainly Colombia's second-best player during this tournament scoring two goals while playing excellent defense. Likely to replaced by Santiago Arias in the final, it will cause a slightly different look to Colombia's attack.
Argentina: Need more of the Argentina that faced Canada and less of the side performed that below expectations for most of this tournament. While Messi has been dealing with fitness concerns, he was still able to score against the Canucks but it has been the form of Lautaro Martinez and Julian Alvarez that has powered Argentina during this tournament. They will need more from their defense, especially on set where Rodriguez has assisted four goals, but if there's a team that can stop a high-powered attack in a final, it's Argentina.
Colombia will come full circle to win Copa America and extend their unbeaten run. With yet another victory, who will end up stopping this team? Pick: Colombia 2, Argentia 1
